I have been contemplating on what differentiates me from other photographers in the area.  It is an important business question, whether you are in photography or selling sporting goods.

I have come up with two ideas.  One of which will remain under wraps for quite some time.

The other - I am going to talk about right now!

La Lume offers books/albums just like any other photographer.

However, how are my books/albums different?  First of all, I don't use a pre-fabricated template that you can purchase online from the many very talented designers out there.

When I design an album, I start from a blank white screen, and I build your album based on your images and your family personality.

What does this mean?

The Heirloom Keeper Design Process will be an album design process that includes MORE of your input into the album.  I want to include your favorite bible quotes.  I want to include letters from you to your kids.  I want to showcase in the album not only the IMAGES that make your family unique, but also the qualities that make your family unique.  

Your book will be personal to YOU.  It won't be a book that your friend will also have because your photographer used a template to design it and just dropped the photos into it.

For those who know me, you know I scrapbook old school style with paper cutters and papers.  I still enjoy doing this and am so glad this hobby has come into play with my current one as a photographer!

I recently designed a professional photography book for myself and saw myself making it more like a "scrapbook" than a standard photography photobook.  I still had gorgeous images on well designed backgrounds.  I just included snippets of my family history in it as well.

Thus - a professional photography book/album meets family memories.  And the "Heirloom Keeper Design Process" was born.
