The "S" Family on Wardrobe and Art

You know what makes my job easy?  Two things:
  • Beautiful families who truly let me explore and record their loving and fun family dynamic.
  • Clients who e-mail me their wardrobe choices and work with me to design a look for their session.
The "S" family embodies these 2 tenets for me!

Their family was so fun to photography - truly a joy to see.  The mom is amazing and coordinated her session with me by seeking guidance on her outfit selections.  See the results for yourself:

When thinking about Longwood for a December session, we think of their gorgeous Christmas decorations in red and silver.  As a result, it made perfect sense to choose outfits that pulled from these colors, resulting in a session that looks cohesive.

As the Brits say, "Brilliant!"

I hope this inspires you to do the same for your next family portrait!  It certainly is a center point of booking a session with La Lume.  I do not let you out into the wilderness of family portraiture without a compass and a guiding hand to lead the way.  Be assured, you will be well taken care of with the results being gorgeous images that elevate your photos from mere snapshots to art for your walls.

This leads me into the "Art" section of my post.

Another reason I love this client?  The mom said to me, "When we move into our new house, would you mind to help me decide what to put on my walls?  I want to decorate my house with beautiful images that make it look like - art.  Like what you did at your house."

These are the kinds of moments where I do the imaginary-fist-pump-in-the-air because the client voiced a major foundation principle in my business.

I believe in taking your images from a small frame on a table (which is absolutely fine too in its purpose!), to large scale art work for your walls.  I aim to help coordinate home design centered around your images instead of it being an afterthought.

So yes, absolutely!  I will definitely be there to help you decide what should go on your walls!  It's my pleasure - seriously!  I LOVE home decor.

Although my house really doesn't show that! :)
