New Years Resolutions for La Lume

Hi Everyone!

I read somewhere that to build a following of readership on your blog, you should try to post 3 times a week.  THREE TIMES A WEEK.

That's a lot.  I don't know how many of you are bloggers out there - but 3 times a week sure sounds like a lot to me!

So here's New Years Resolution #1 for La Lumiere Photography - Blog 3 times a week.  It may be about photography - it may be about how much I want a new camera - it may be about the delicious meal I had at Washington DC's Honey Pig (Korean BBQ) restaurant - it's going to have to be about all sorts of things to occur 3 times a week!

New Years Resolution #2 for La Lumiere Photography - Survey my target market about their photography needs.  Keep on the lookout for this - there will certainly be incentives to filling out this survey!  I want to make sure I meet the needs of my customers in the best way possible - and this is a good way for me to do this.

New Years Resolution #3 for La Lumiere Photography - Find a charitable way to donate my services.  It's always good to give back to the community.  PERIOD.  Specifically, donate my services to a silent auction benefiting a local charity/school.

New Years Resolution #4 for La Lumiere Photography - Bring more God into my business.  Bet you didn't know that about me from my website or my blog.  That I am a Christian.  And a happy one.  One that really wants to live my life for God - one who started this business trying to follow what I think He wants me to do.  So for someone who believes strongly about this - it sure doesn't show as much as I think it should.

New Years Resolution #5 for La Lumiere Photography - Exercise regularly.  Yeah, it's a pretty boring one - but one I need to do to keep up with the kiddos I photograph!!!

New Years Resolution #6 for La Lumiere Photography - Get more props for my shoots.  I am on the lookout for cool antique chairs/ottomans/footstools/mini beds for newborns/cool crochet blankets/hats - etc.

New Years Resolution #7 for La Lumiere Photography - Re-design my blog and website.  I am thinking this may happen closer to 2012 than somewhere in 2011!  So if you have any recommendations for logo/web designers - send them my way.  PLEASE! :)

New Years Resolution #8 for La Lumiere Photography - Improve my post processing editing skills in Photoshop.  Take a class/mentoring session.  Found one - contacted the teacher - waiting for a response!

New Years Resolution #9 for La Lumiere Photography - Take one class on photography to improve my shooting skills.  On the lookout!

That's it for now.  1 down.  2 more to go for the week.
