Bises

Why do I sign my blog "Bises?"

It's one very affectionate way of signing off an e-mail/letter in French.  Instead of "Sincerely" or "Regards," you can use "Bises" with your friends.

It means:  kisses

And I mean - little kisses.  Not full on French kisses!

So I consider my readership, my friends - and I sign off accordingly!

Voila!

You see - I named my business La Lumiere Photography because 'la belle France' was very much a part of my life for three years.  I lived there, ate there, made friends there, and discovered my passion there.

So when I start building my brand around this whole French theme - it's not for superficial reasons.  It was a real part of my history and has truly shaped who I am today.
